Alex-Hansford-Smith

Alex completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 2018 and her postgraduate certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy in 2021. During the course of her studies, she had a range of experience from acute hospital care all the way through to animal physiotherapy! Alex was also involved heavily in furthering student education and is passionate about helping people increase their knowledge.

Alex’s interest in pelvic health began during her DPT studies, and she is very keen to keep learning and progressing in this field. Her particular interest is pelvic health in athletes of all types and plans to undertake as much further education and qualifications as she can. To this end, Alex was invited to complete her Masters of Pelvic Health at the University of Melbourne in 2022, which she begins in July! Alex is very passionate about helping men and women return to activities, sport and elite sport after pelvic floor injury or dysfunction.

Alex was born and raised in Mornington but has spent the last 16 years living elsewhere so is very excited to be working back in her home town. Outside of work, Alex lives in West Gippsland with her horses, dogs, cats and partner, and is in the long process of renovating a 1930’s farmhouse!
