Rebecca Newsome is the newest member of the Scar Care team. She holds a Certificate III in Community Services (Mental Health), a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) from the Queensland University of Technology and a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney.

Rebecca embraces a holistic approach to practice based on the biopsychosocial model of healthcare. She has a particular interest in the psychological impact of traumatic injuries upon clients, families and carers. Rebecca has 3 years clinical experience across a range of environments including intensive care, inpatient wards, rehabilitation as well as outpatient clinics. Rebecca also has a passion for the clinical education of students.

She is looking forward to further developing her skills in the prevention and treatment of scarring and oedema following traumatic injuries and surgery.
