Megan Kirkby

Empowering people to understand their ability to heal pain and injury is what drew Megan to practice physiotherapy. She began her Allsports career at The Gap whilst completing her physiotherapy degree at The University of Queensland. She has since joined the Toowong and West End clinics.

In 2021, Megan is in the process of publishing her honours paper in Musculoskeletal Science & Practice, where she researched the relationship between endogenous analgesia and psychological distress in whiplash associated disorder. She has a particular interest in working with those who have acute neck pain and those who struggle with persistent pain in the office-work environment.

In her spare time, Megan enjoys long distance running, cycling and yoga. For the last 16 years she has worked towards becoming an accomplished violinist; playing for the Queensland Youth Orchestra and the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra.
