Lennie graduated from the University of South Australia with a Master of Physiotherapy (Graduate Entry) in 2018. He also completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) focusing on nutrition. With 10 years of city life under his belt, he returned to Port Lincoln to continue his career closer to family.
Prior to his return, Lennie spent two years working in Private Practice in Adelaide treating a wide variety of patients. During this time he developed a keen interest in the McKenzie Method which aims to centralise pain and provide people with techniques to manage their pain independently. He has also pursued further training in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Studio Pilates and Modernised Shoulder Rehabilitation and Management.
Lennie places great importance on applying the latest research and taking a holistic approach with each individual. He has a particular interest in shoulder and neck injuries and will take an active approach to management with a focus on balancing hands on therapy with exercise.
Lennie often reflects on his upbringing in the isolated South Australian opal mining community of Coober Pedy as a motivator for his work. His experiences in the outback have given him an appreciation for the importance of bringing quality healthcare back to the regions.
