Chris began studying at QUT with an Elite Athlete Scholarship for his sport of Fencing, and graduated Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) 2017. He then completed a Master of Philosophy majoring in Health Science at QUT in 2019. Chris has presented his studies internationally and been published in peer-reviewed journals for his research on Heat Stress in the Australian Army, and has a particular interest in working with DVA patients. In his spare time Chris is completing his PhD in exercise prescription for children with surgically-repaired congenital heart defects at UQ. During his postgraduate studies Chris has been recognised as an exceptional teacher in tertiary education and was awarded a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy of the UK. Chris has also travelled interstate and internationally as a member of multiple choirs for concert performances and orchestral choruses.
Chris has previously worked as a children’s party entertainer for many years, and occasionally comes out of “retirement” for face painting, magic shows, and balloon artiste work.
