Joint hypermobility (excessive joint movement) is quite common. Those that have hypermobile joints are not necessarily impacted by it although when it does impact a person it can do so in a number of ways such as:
- Chronic pain
- Gross motor delay or difficulties
- Fine motor delay or difficulties
- Poor balance
- Poor co-ordination
- Poor posture
- Frequent muscle or joint injuries
- Recurrent joint dislocations
- Poor endurance and fatigue with physical activity
- Increased incidence of “growing pains” and general aches and pains
