SHERWOOD – SPECIALTY CLINICS
In 2007 Allsports Physiotherapy Indooroopilly expanded its services to establish two specialty clinics situated together in one brand new facility at 3/659 Sherwood Road at Sherwood. The clinic is conveniently located opposite Woolworths and The Coffee Club on Sherwood Road and is within short walking distance of public transport. There is easy parking on the street or on site.
Allsports Pilates Sherwood on the upper level is a fully equipped, air conditioned Pilates studio offering a range of individual or group Pilates sessions. The classes are conducted and supervised by Pilates trained physiotherapists and therefore are eligible for rebate under most levels of health insurance cover. The clinical pilates programs are designed by a physiotherapist following a thorough assessment and real time ultrasound testing. All programs are individualised to achieve the best possible outcome.
Allsports Paediatrics offers physiotherapy services exclusively to children. (0-18yrs). Our aim is to optimise your child’s physical development and functional performance from infancy through to adulthood.
Our aim is to create a fun, dynamic environment for children so they may enjoy programs specifically designed to optimise their physical development.
Allsports Paediatrics offers a range of physiotherapy services for children. To see a full list click on the Allsports Paediatric Physiotherapy on the left side bar. One of the unique services offered at the clinic is the Hard Core Kids® program.

Nicole Haynes
Nicole has enjoyed working with children for many years. Before becoming a physiotherapist Nicole completed a Bachelors Degree in Human Movement Science and spent a number of years working as a personal trainer which included developing school gym programs and implementing strength programs for children with disabilities.. Nicole has also worked as a swimming instructor/coach and spent 4years abroad working as a nanny.
Upon completion of her physiotherapy degree Nicole followed her passion to become the managing partner of the Allsports Paediatric clinic at Sherwood; with the aim to provide physiotherapy services exclusively to children.
Nicole provides physiotherapy services for children of all ages. She has developed and coordinates Hard Core Kids® which is a unique class-based program specifically designed to optimise the physical development of children. Nicole understands the impact a child’s physical profile may have on all areas of a child’s development and enjoyment of life. She gets immense satisfaction from helping children achieve their potential.
Elise Alexander
Elise initially joined the Allsports Physiotherapy team in 2005 whilst still a student at the University of Queensland. After graduating as a Physiotherapist, she accepted a position co-located at the Indooroopilly and Sherwood clinics where she was treating both adult musculoskeletal and paediatric populations. Since 2010 she has been able to pursue her passion in paediatric Physiotherapy, working full time at Allsports Paediatrics at Sherwood.
As part of her role, Elise also works one day a week at Glenleighden School in Fig Tree Pocket - a school for children with primary speech disorders. There she is enjoying the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide the best outcomes for children with special needs. She has found it very rewarding to see the benefits of Physiotherapy in not only improving a child’s physical ability and self-esteem, but also translating to improvements in other areas of life such as fine motor, speech and social skills.
Elise has a vested interest in postural awareness, especially within the adolescent population. She has experience treating teenagers, especially those with posturally-related neck and back pain or scoliosis. Last year, she was involved in the introduction of a Pilates-based HCK ™ class to specifically target these patients. She is confident that promoting good postural habits early in life will help to prevent the occurrence of ongoing neck or back pain in adulthood.
Kajal Patel
Kajal has always had a passion for working with children. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a Masters in Physiotherapy Studies and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, from the University of Alberta, in Canada.
Kajal has experience with musculoskeletal injuries working on the field with junior (6-21yrs) rugby league teams. Her areas of interest include musculoskeletal management, injury prevention and developmental exercise prescription.
Kajal previously worked as the Children’s Activity Coordinator for the University of Alberta, organising a variety of sports including wall climbing, fitness programming, swimming and gymnastics for children 4-18 years of age. She developed and implemented a Fun and Fitness initiative for primary school children stressing the importance of physical activity and healthy nutritional practices. She also has a keen interest in sports and recreation and has gained valuable experience in exercise prescription and healthy lifestyle management as a Kinesiologist and certified personal trainer working with both adult and paediatric populations.
Kajal strongly believes that all children should have the opportunity to participate in physical activities and is excited to be involved in helping children achieve this goal.
Kristy Walker (nee Graham)
Kristy joined Allsports Physiotherapy in 2005 after graduating from Griffith University with a double degree in physiotherapy and exercise science.
