The first clinic to be established in the Allsports Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Group, Jindalee was opened in 1992 to provide individual and personalized physiotherapy care to the local community. The clinic expanded steadily, resulting in the need for larger floor space. It was relocated in June 2001 to its current location within the Christies Home Maker Centre (situated at the rear of the Home-Maker Centre adjacent to the Jindalee Hotel and Jindalee Care Medical Centre).
Allsports Physiotherapy Jindalee has recently undertaken renovations, providing a spacious, well-appointed purpose built centre with easy access and convenient parking facilities. New additions to the clinic include a fully equipped clinical pilates studio, podiatry biomechanical analysis studio and the Shoe Lab. As one of the largest physiotherapy clinics in Brisbane, the centre has a large treatment area able to easily cater for the ten full time physiotherapists who operate within the premises.
As part of our charter, to provide a state of the art, holistic approach to the treatment and management of patient injuries and rehabilitation, the centre provides a comprehensive range of services and facilities.

Allsports Physiotherapy Jindalee has formed close associations with a number of sporting bodies in the local community. The clinic is a sponsor of the Jindalee Swimming club and our physiotherapists are also the providers of choice for the Brisbane Strikers Football Club.

Tony Ganter
B Phty
Tony is one of the practice partners at Jindalee and joined the Allsports Physiotherapy Group in 1997. He has a special interest in the treatment of elite level football athletes including: knee injuries and muscle imbalances around the pelvis, groin injuries and ankle trauma.
Tony has a keen interest in sporting injuries and worked as a Physiotherapist for the Australian Institute of Sport Road Cycling Team from 1991 to 1998, both in Australia and overseas. In 1999 Tony was appointed head physiotherapist and strength and conditioning consultant for the Queensland Lions Soccer Club and held that position until 2004. In 2004 Tony became Head Physiotherapist and Medical Co-ordinator for the Queensland Roar FC Hyundai A League team and as such was responsible for all physiotherapy and the co-ordination of injury rehabilitation for the playing squad. Changes to the Brisbane Roar FC coaching staff in 2009 led to Tony retiring from this position at the club.
2011 sees Tony available at the Jindalee clinic for private consultations on a limited basis whilst continuing to oversee the administration of the Allsports Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Group. In 2011 he is also trying to prepare for the “Smiddy Challenge” , a 1600 km 8 day charity bike ride from Brisbane to Home Hill in Townsville, to help raise funds for the Mater Research Foundation. Cameron Schembri
M Phty St; B ExSc.
Cameron graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy studies and Bachelor of Exercise Science from Griffith University. He has been part of the Allsports team since 2004 and in 2007 took up a position as a practice partner. He has a strong background in sports physiology and exercise science, working as strength and conditioning coach prior to his appointment as a physiotherapist. Cameron worked as the Physiotherapist to the Brisbane Roar Football Club from 2005 providing injury rehabilitation, match coverage and working in as a strength coach and 2009 resigned from his position with the club due to changes in coaching staff. Cameron has a special interest in all codes of football as well as the management, rehabilitation and development of specific strength and conditioning programmes for injured athletes.
Sep Rafiee
B Phty
Sep graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000, working at the Red Hill and Jindalee Clinics prior to heading off to the United Kingdom in 2002. While in the UK, he was contracted to the Ministry of Defense for the first two years as a civilian Regimental Physiotherapist, treating infantry training and sporting injuries involving the lower limbs. He was closely involved in fitness testing infantry soldiers before deployment.
From there, he spent the next two years as Physiotherapist for Worcester Rugby Club where he was responsible for the complete spectrum of athlete care, which encompassed screening, all aspects of rehabilitation and on field coverage. He spent his last year in London as physiotherapist for ‘The Lion King’ and Royal Shakespeare Theatre Company. Sep returned to Allsports in 2007 and became practicing partner a year later. He is passionate about treating endurance athletes (especially cyclists) and ‘anything’ rugby, which has lead to Sep’s appointment as physiotherapist to the Queensland Reds squad in May 2009. He is a keen age group triathlete, and loves competing over the longer distances.
Michael Fernandez
BHM(Ex Sci) M Phty St
Michael graduated from the University of Queensland with a Master of Physiotherapy Studies and Bachelor of Human Movements (Exercise science). He has been with the Allsports group for 3 years and in early 2010 became a clinic partner. Michael commenced practice at the Jindalee clinic to further his focus in football injury rehabilitation and conditioning. He has a special interest in the management of injuries of the lower limb. From 2009, Michael has been the Head Physiotherapist responsible for the injury management, rehabilitation and match coverage for the Brisbane Strikers Football Club as they compete in the Queensland State League.
Lauren Dixon
B Phty
Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from La Trobe University, Melbourne and was awarded the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Prize, having achieved the highest mark in the area of musculoskeletal theory and practice.
Lauren pursued her interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and worked in private practice and as the Physiotherapist for the North Ballarat Rebels, part of the Traffic Accident Commission (TAC) sponsored Australian Rules Football League. Lauren relished her work with many of the AFL’s draft picks both during training, competition and in a rehabilitative manner to assist their transition into their professional sporting careers.
Lauren worked in a private practice for three years before moving inter-state to join the Allsports Team in 2010. She currently co-ordinates the pilates program and instructs group classes and individual programs. Lauren is also accredited in pre-pointe musculoskeletal screening for dancers and is qualified in the application of Kinesio Taping.
Benn Schofield
M Phty St; BExSc.
Benn graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy studies and Bachelor of Exercise Science from Griffith University. He joined the Allsports team in 2010 to further his interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Benn assists in co-ordinating the clinic’s hydrotherapy program at Sinnamon Village Hydrotherapy pool, where he develops programs for a wide variety of conditions. Benn has a special interest in all aspects of soccer and he continues to play in the Brisbane Men’s Football league. He has a specific interest in groin injuries and their rehabilitation.
James Rees
B Phty
James graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and joined the Allsports group as a physiotherapist in late 2010. Prior to graduating, James worked as a sports trainer for Brisbane Olympic Football Club’s Youth 1 side, as well as covering Western Districts Rugby Club’s grades teams. James is still an avid sportsman and enjoys the management and rehabilitation of injured athletes. James has a particular interest in the management and rehabilitation of patients whom have sustained injuries in the sports of Rugby, Boxing and Martial Arts.
Lexi Beer
B Phty (Hons)
Lexi joined the Allsports Physiotherapy team at Jindalee in early 2011 after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with first class honours at the University of Queensland. Lexi’s honours research involved functional retraining of the deep neck flexor muscles in patients with neck pain. Coming from a sporting background, Lexi has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of sporting injuries as well as the treatment and management of spinal pain.
Christina Brownlow
BSc (Kinesiology); MPhty St
Christina graduated from The University of Queensland in 2010 with a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies. She has previously been awarded a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Kinesiology) from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada.
Christina joined the Allsports team at the beginning of 2011. She has since taken up the role of physiotherapist to the local gymnastics squad and is responsible for assessing and treating various injuries seen in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. Previously, Christina has coached competitive swim squads in Canada and worked as a kinesiologist rehabilitating musculo-skeletal injuries.
Christina is a keen runner and tennis player and hopes to continue to develop her skills in the field of sports physiotherapy.
